Yes, I know; it has been a very long time. I stopped blogging nearly a year ago when my Radio blogging software subscription expired as I was looking for a more flexible program. Then, around early summer I moved to a new hosting company, when I thought I'd be up and running using Wordpress. But no -- a long saga began with my techno-culture domain which was registered to me but the admin contact (and hence, email contact for the regitrar) was with my old hosting service. And for some reason I kept having trouble creating accounts at Godaddy, the registrar, to get my doman transferred from my old host to me. The old host tried several times, then it seemed to get put on the long finger -- on both sides, as I had so many other things on. More recently my new hosting service, hosting365.ie, tried to help me get the domain transferred over but it became very hard to get any response at all from my old hosting service. Thankfully hosting365.ie told me how to contact Godaddy and provide sufficient ID to get the domain admin contact transferred over to me -- enabling me to go in and change the domain name servers and finally relaunch my long lost techno-culture blog. Hooray! I nearly wept with happiness when the net picked up the DNS transfer and there was my old domain, back again. So here we go, here we go, here we go... :) I am going to transfer my Chipswiththat.com blog for my Newstalk Right Hook Monday radio slot over here, I think, as a category -- unless I can get Newstalk to offer some support with podcasts and so on. I also need to get my housekeeping and decorating done here -- set up a fresh blogroll, tweak the appearance, add some plug-ins. Patience please as things get underway once more.
