.mac worked quite well for all that I asked of it, but then they introduced MobileMe, iPhone and further OS updates which ended in tears for more than they admit. I have abandoned my .mac address of which I was very proud due to the outage.
Apple seem to be in a scramble to capitalise on their iPod success and are shoving out stuff before its really tested.
Enjoy your Mac – lovely system, but I would suggest you look for other, cheaper, tested options for accessories. For the immediate future anyway.

I admit I am not too sure about MobileMe and am experimenting with the iPhone. Am about to trial TimeCapsule so we shall see.
