Order Valium No Prescription
I was amused but not terribly surprised at the Irish telecoms industry's angry riposte (scroll to second letter) to my column last week Order valium no prescription, which revealed how they have been privately working out, in discussions with the Garda (Irish police), Revenue service and Irish Defense Forces, how they all plan to interpret an as-yet non-existent data retention law, a process they clearly began months before the proposed bill was even going to be discussed in the Oireachtas (Irish houses of parliament).
Their key issue seems to be that it wasn't 'Secret' but only 'secret' -- eg we may not have let anyone know we were doing this but we weren't actively hiding that we were doing this, an excuse that has been used regularly on the law enforcement and government side in the past to the absolute frustration, ostaa halvalla valium, even (purported?) outrage, Osta alennus valium, of some of the same signatory organisations to the letter. Therefore this complaint, coming from ALTO, Acheter en ligne valium, TIF and the ISPAI, Where to buy cheap valium, is a red herring and also mere semantics. The fact is that no one I can find across the spectrum of those concerned about data retention -- which include politicians, leading business figures, kopen goedkope valium, lawyers, Valium prices, and privacy advocates -- knew they were off privately drawing up a memorandum figuring out how they would interpret a law and agreeing various provisions with the very people who can come demand our data from the operators. This job of interpretation, as I argued in my column, farmacia valium baratos, is normally the task of the legislature and the courts in democracies, Illinois IL Ill. , and one might think on such a critical issue, should involve privacy advocates and some public input, something the telecoms industry has regularly called for when it has benefited them to do so (as some of the names on their letter know full well), Osta valium online, but seemingly not at this critical juncture. I can only conclude that they only want 'open' discussion when they feel their input has been excluded, but that they don't really want customers and businesses to know that they are now amongst the consultative closed circle, order valium no prescription. Rhode Island RI R.I. , But the primary issue remains that while the proposed legislation may allow for a code of practice, it is absolutely appalling for these agencies and organisations to be privately arranging how they will interpret a law that doesn't yet exist. Nor is it significant whether this was an early or late draft -- it is the very fact that it was being discussed at all, valium online cheap, in this secretive way, Acheter valium bon marché, in advance of there being any legislation, for the purposes of a private memorandum of understanding that is alarming. This is not just my opinion, valium, but that of legal experts well aware of the processes and interpretations of law and the details of the Irish constitution. αγοράσετε valium έκπτωση, The document, which I have uploaded here, makes it clear that this was not simply a code of practice but a private agreement on how the parties would agree to interpret key provisions of the (nonexistent) law amongst themselves, where to buy valium. Order valium no prescription, It also is irrelevant that the EU has issued a directive that is the basis of our proposed legislation -- because, as TIF, ALTO and the ISPAI know better than almost anyone, each state can interpret that directive in its own way and the specifics of language within the national bill is all-important. Hence their memorandum is grossly premature and significant, Cheap valium online legally, not just a little argy-bargy over minor details, as they seem to wish to portray it.
The industry's other complaint in their letter that I should have focused on important elements such as the foisting of costs on to their industry indicates (to me) just how feeble their 'doth protect to much' arguments in their letter are (oops, acquistare a buon mercato valium, that should read 'protest' but 'protect' works pretty well too). Oklahoma OK Okla. , They all know full well that I have highlighted this issue, on behalf of their industry, for years now, valium pharmacy, through many data retention proposals, District of Columbia DC D.C. , two EU directives, and the existing Irish retention laws, and I've been one of the only journalists to so do (for example see here, buy generic valium, here, Billige valium Apotheke, here, here, here (note direct quotes from the ISPAI on the issue.., Kjøp Discount valium. doh!), Order valium online, here, here etc etc etc... so come on, guys, you know I have highlighted your objections and perspective on data retention proposals in nearly every article I have written on the subject since 2001, order valium no prescription. I've hardly neglected the issue, order valium cod.
And Paul Durrant, whom I have great regard for and who signed the letter today as head of the ISPAI, sure felt differently about Dail and public discussion and scrutiny last year when he told me for this story: "The ISPAI is disappointed that such an all pervasive measure . . . Order valium no prescription, should be enacted without being subjected to the full rigours of Dáil debate and the public exposure that brings." . Exactly. That's why some of us are disappointed that his industry is now happy to be figuring out how it will interpret the same measure without there being a law first, or any public/Dail debate on the provisions yet.
So it would seem that such considerations only really matter when the telecoms industry is being excluded from the 'private' discussions of government and the agencies on data retention, not when they are included and everyone else, including the public and privacy advocates, is excluded. And the bottom line is: it is not the business of these agencies and the telecoms industry to be coming to private agreement about how they interpret a bill that will ultimately be designed to give them access to OUR data, especially when the law does not yet exist and the bill proposing it has yet to be discussed even once in the Dail.
Maybe that is why others on the letters page today do not see things in the same way as the telecoms industry, caught this time with its pants down on this one.
UPDATE: I am told the first Dail discussion on the data retention bill is now scheduled for next week.
